Ground Improvements

Ground Conversion was founded in response to Canterbury’s need to deal with its ground condition in a better way.

We were the first contractors in New Zealand to import and trial a Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC) machine. Since then we have continued to seek out new ways to deal with poor or compromised ground.

Through this process we have become one of the few contractors able to provide cement stabilization at a cost that is viable for small to medium sized projects. Cement stabilization can provide and excellent option where ground improvement is required. Its key advantages are:

• Converts liquefiable material to stable, non- liquefiable ground.
• Removes the need to truck away existing material and import new expensive fill.
• Is an excellent solution for contaminated sites.
• Can provide a cheaper alternative to a deep gravel raft.
